PURPOSE: To be a mouthpiece God can use to deliver a generation from the bondage of low expectations.
MISSION: To share the dream of what this generation can do when we believe in them enough to get out of their way.
VISION: To recruit, resource, and release young leaders to transform their world by living their calling in Christ.
PATH: Matthew 14:16
VALUES:
HONESTY — God only works in truth and light; not shadow. My early years of living, performing, and working to be accepted by others were far from that. The biggest lie was what I thought of myself. I am committed to a life that is marked by honesty. I want to help others be honest with themselves and their situations. “You can’t fix a problem you don’t admit.”
COMPASSION — I have learned to pray to see people through God’s eyes – not Tim’s. You can’t help people if you don’t see them accurately for who God intends them to become. It ties back into being honest about the truth of the matter and the heart of the matter.
DEDICATION — When I believe in a cause I give myself wholeheartedly to it. It might be a friend’s marriage, a church project, a family’s finances, or a drug addict’s recovery. This is the measure of my commitment.
SACRIFICE — Once a cause, a problem, or a person have been added to my agenda, I give of self and go without for their benefit. This actually is a double-edged sword because I sacrifice my family, my marriage, and my own desires as well. I sacrifice everything that is important to me.
HUMILITY — Jesus described Himself as gentle and humble – I am not – but I strive for it everyday. I believe it might be one area that God is waiting for me to get under control. I also believe that is why I am drawn to servant leaders who never draw attention to themselves. Additionally, I find it strange that I still have the need to bring attention to me.
PEACE — I don’t mind healthy conflict that is necessary to bring about needed resolution, but I am committed to bringing peace. I won’t give up until I see a generation of young leaders rise up and say, “Enough is enough – let’s work together and transform our world.”
BELIEFS: God is bigger than we know, and those who think they have figured him out have no clue. Those who take time every day to admit what they do not know about God begin to discover him in ways they never expected. I actively search to discover things about his purpose, his wills, and his ways that no one ever taught me. I challenge my mind and my heart to think outside the box, and ask prayerfully to see God as he is, outside of any box people want to put Him in. Then I take time to weigh what I believe he might be teaching me against what he says in his book, the Bible. God will not contradict himself. His truth is certain. In light of it, I discover who I am through his son, Jesus Christ, the Lord and Savior of the world.
